Hahn (crater)
Hahn is a Lunar craters, lunar impact crater that is located near the northeastern limb of the Moon. The crater appears oval when viewed from the Earth due to foreshortening. It is located less than one crater diameter to the southeast of Berosus (crater), Berosus, a slightly smaller formation. The inner wall of Hahn contains a system of wiktionary:terrace, terraces, particularly in the southern half. A smaller crater lies across the northwest rim, forming a break that reaches the interior floor. The interior floor has a region of lower albedo in the northern half, making it darker in appearance than the southern section of the floor. At the midpoint of the interior is an elongated central ridge, with the longer extent oriented north–south. The floor is also marked by several tiny craterlets. The House of Hahn (originally Hane and Hanen) was an ancient German-Baltic noble family which was prominent in the Duchy of Courland and Semigallia and on the Baltic Island Ösel. It was founded in 1230 and existed until 1951. It was also part of the old Mecklenburg noble family, first mentioned on October 30, 1230. The Mecklenburg clan branched out at the turn of the 14th century into a Mecklenburg and a Courland clan. Later, the family carried the title Baron or Baron (Baroness, Baroness, Freifrau, Freiin), which was the highest title, which the family ever held. Countess Ida von Hahn-Hahn (; 22 June 1805 – 12 January 1880) was a German author from a wealthy family who lost their fortune because of her father's eccentric spending. She defied convention by living with Adolf von Bystram unmarried for 21 years. Her writings about the German aristocracy were greatly favored by the general public of her time. Ida von Hahn-Hahn often wrote about the tragedies of the soul and was influenced by the French novelist George Sand. She "was an indefatigable campaigner for the emancipation of women" and her writings include many strong female characters. Biography She was born at Tressow, in the duchy of Mecklenburg-Schwerin. Hahn (Holzhausen)
The Hahn () is a -high basalt knoll in the district of Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, within the town of Edermünde-Holzhausen, in Hesse, Germany. Like many other basalt outcrops in the West Hesse Depression, it is the neck of an extinct Miocene volcano, the rest has been eroded. A small medieval tower castle once stood on the hill. Location The knoll is located directly north of the town centre of Holzhausen. For this reason the town is often known as Holzhausen am Hahn (engl. Holzhausen on the Hahn). The Pilgerbach stream flows around the southern edge of the Hahn. On the eastern side there is a football field. To the west, the Autobahn A49 passes by.
